The Southern Hills Arts Council hosts a summer Art Camp for kids who have completed 5th to 8th grades. There is a camp fee, which includes take home art supplies. Campers bring their own packed lunch for the week-long day camp.

In July 2016, students learned about artists Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Claude Monet, and Vincent van Gogh and painted in each artist’s style. Teachers for the 2016 camp were Bob Eisnaugle, Debra Shumate and Paul Brown.
The Southern Hills Arts Council will be hosting an Art Camp June 26 to June 29, at the Markay Cultural Arts Center, 269 E. Main Street, Jackson, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The camp will give children the opportunity to unleash their imagination, while also giving them an introduction to several forms of visual art.
Youth in grades five to eight are invited to take part in the camp.
There is a $120 fee for the camp, which includes art supplies that the campers will keep. Campers must bring a packed lunch each day.
The camp is limited to ten.
The teaching staff of the camp is under the direction of Bob Eisnaugle.
